Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) likely made over $25 million per day during his four-month prison stay.
According to Forbes, his wealth, largely tied to equity in private companies, could have grown by billions of dollars. CZ served his time at a minimum-security prison in Lompoc, California, from June to September 2024.
However, Bloomberg’s estimates suggest that CZ may have actually lost money while in prison, leading to conflicting reports about his financial gains.
