In the UK, crypto ATM operator Olumide Osunkoya was found guilty of fraud, marking the first conviction under new anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations.
He operated 11 unregistered crypto ATMs, processing over £2.6 million in two years.
These machines facilitated illegal transactions, with fees reaching up to 60%. If convicted on all counts, Osunkoya could face up to 26 years in prison.
