The Safe{Wallet} team has revealed details of the Bybit attack, which was carried out by the TraderTraitor hacker group, allegedly linked to North Korea. The breach occurred through interception of AWS session tokens from a developer’s laptop, allowing hackers to bypass multi-factor authentication
Following the attack, the team enhanced security measures, rebooted infrastructure, and implemented additional protection mechanisms. They also announced the migration of Safe{Wallet} to IPFS to improve decentralization
